Teign Scullers to row their new coastal quad for sports relief

Teign Scullers plan to row their new coastal sculling quad up to Newton Abbot and down to Polly Steps doing three laps of the Teign Estuary and just over 26 miles on Saturday 20th March. The plan is to raise money for Sports Relief, by undertaking this marathon row between 8am and 11am on Saturday morning.

The new coastal sculling boat allows Teign Scullers, a fine boat rowing club, to introduce new members to rowing the occasionally rough Estuary, in addition to sea rowing, and introducing those with special needs to the pleasures of rowing on our lovely local waters.

Each of the three laps will have a different crew of four Teign Scullers rowers and a cox to steer and direct them.

Teign Scullers are based at Archbrook, and supporters are welcome to come along on Saturday morning. The event is due to finish at Coombe Cellars, where people can have a closer look at the boat and meet the crew.
